Entrepreneur, Peter Arlein, has developed an eco-friendly ski and snowboard wax that does not contribute to groundwater pollution. Because most waxes are petroleum-based, they absorb into the snow which then absorbs into the groundwater as the snow melts. To reduce petroleum pollution, Peter has developed a plant-based, biodegradable; patent-pending wax formula, MountainFlow Eco-Wax. Seeking a potential business partner willing to invest $250,000 in exchange for 10% equity, MountainFlow Eco-Wax is hoping to land a deal with Shark that can help them to expand their international market.
Wax IN or wax OUT? #SharkTank

Currently, MountainFlow Eco-Wax does have a team of world champions and influencers using their product to help protect the planet. They are hoping to grow their customer base by targeting ski shops and customers who wax their own skis and snowboards. The process to use MountainFlow Eco-Wax is the same as their traditional ski wax competitors, although they have also developed a specialty quick wax rub-on formula which was very interesting to the Sharks. The Sharks were also interested in learning that the international laws are now getting traction to ban petroleum-based waxes which will make way for a nice place in the market for MountainFlow Eco-Wax.
Showcasing impressive sales growth, MountainFlow Eco-Wax has increased sales from $150,000 last year to $750,000 in sales this year since they added a specialty race wax and expanded their international division. Three Sharks, Barbara Corcoran, Kevin O’Leary, and Daymond John are all interested in investing in MountainFlow Eco-Wax. In a rare move, Barbara and Kevin O’Leary decided to partner together and offered to invest $300,000 in exchange for a combined 20% equity. Daymond offered $250,000 in exchange for 25% equity if he could bring champion skier, Lindsey Vonn, into the deal. Ultimately, Peter decided to accept Kevin and Barbara’s offer.
